An invaluable partner, the Lodge at Palisades Creek is Orvis’ premier fly fishing lodge on the South Fork of the Snake River. The Lodge at Palisades Creek is an invaluable partner to On River Time. They provide reduced rates for our accommodations and donate staff to provide the most spectacular setting for this once-in-a-lifetime trip. Located a few miles beneath the Palisades Dam in Irwin, Idaho, this is fly fishing at its finest, with 5,200 trout per mile and a daily average of 15- 18” cutthroat, rainbow, and brown trout.

The accommodations and meals are second to none, but it’s the kindness and hospitality displayed by the guides and lodge employees that make our trip so memorable. The Lodge at Palisades Creek regularly hosts celebrity guests and they roll out the red carpet for our campers.

We invite you to experience the incredible hospitality of the Lodge at Palisades Creek for yourself!

“As the river runs wild through the canyons,
so does peace run wild through my soul.
For no matter what stands tall around you,
deep within
you are free,
you are whole."

-Morgan Harper Nichols

A highlight of the On River Time trip is a tour of the Grand Teton National Park hosted by Teton Science School. The Grand Tetons are one of the most striking landscapes in the world, located just outside Jackson Hole, Wyoming, about an hour from where we stay. There, the kind and knowledegable guides from Teton Science School provides our campers with an engaging and memorable tour where campers are having so much fun, they don’t realize they’re learning! We see bison, moose and elk roaming freely through the national park and learn all about the beautiful landscape.
