Spring Fever
Sporting Clays Event at Selwood Farm
We’ve got Spring Fever! As we are counting down the days to On River Time camps and the middle of our Spring Push campaign, we have been busy hosting some great events.
Our amazing Junior Board hosted the 2nd Annual Sporting Clays Event at beautiful Selwood Farm. And it was a “blast”!
We loved having Kelli Croyle from Big Oak Ranch and one of her Ascend students join us. He was even able to join a team!
We definitely had some sharp shooters participate. Teams came from across Alabama and even supporters from California and St. Louis flew in to join us! Congratulations to our winners, all received Orvis gift cards.

Fly Fishing Lessons at Samford University
Days before, we were hosting fly casting lessons on the campus of Samford University! We had a great time at Samford providing students a fun break between classes and sharing about On River Time.
Samford public relations and journalism professor, Betsy Emmons encourages her students to take on actual projects as part of their semester grade. We loved working with her student, Callie, a junior who helped to expand our reach on social media. Her final project was to host an event on campus to raise awareness about the work we do. It was so much fun meeting the students, teaching them to cast, and sharing about On River Time!
We are less than one month away from taking kids from four children’s homes to On River Time camps! Will you partner with us to help change the life of a child in need? Every child needs a champion! Help let them know they are not defined by their past and break the cycle of abuse and neglect.
